Before my next post I am going to try and write myself some sort of schedule. I want to be able to have regular days that I update. I have so many things that I am excited to share, and I am not sure where to begin. I am thinking of a day for artwork updates, a day for recipes (cooking is an amateur passion of mine, if I had the money I would make a go of culinary school. One day perhaps!) and some craft projects. Plus Caturday! I relish in any excuse to post pictures of my cats, my friends cats, the random cat next door that smells a little and might give me pink eye just for looking at it, but fuck it I am going to pet it anyway....wait, what was I on about? Oh, a schedule. Well, whatever the schedule ends up being, the point is--expect cats to pop up frequently.

I bet you didn't see that coming.

Today, I will be taking photos of my good friend Caelin Johnson. Photography is not my strongest medium, but it holds a certain fascination for me. I know some really amazing photographers and usually feel sort of embarrassed stepping into their world. Luckily, Caelin lets me indulge my inner stylist, that's what friends are for! I will upload those photos after I edit through them, until then, here is Caelin as an introduction. These are just I.D. photos for her new blog, theredcaterpiller.

 

I am also working on creating an origami how-to for the props I made for the uncomming photoshoot.

Let's just get this out in the open, I am a quitter. I quit. Whether it is an art project, or school work, or whatever half baked idea I come up with at the time, I just don't finish what I start. So, here I am again--setting old goals for my new self. It is time to start something and actually follow through with it. Now that I have gotten that disclaimer out of the way I suppose that I will introduce myself. My name is Emma Raven, I am 22 years old, I have just moved back into my mothers apartment (don't get me started on that story), I am overly enthusiastic about my cats (maybe that has something to do with the last one), and I can't make up my mind about what I love to do most. I have a lot of creative energy but no concrete focus. Too many ideas and not enough plans. That is how we ended up here together. I plan to share with you the many outcomes of my creative curiosity.
